I have heard a philosophy quotes like a Bible verse often it goes like this, “Everything happens for a purpose.” Have you heard that? When I hear this I always wonder if I agree. You see it’s not exactly a Bible verse – I believe that it’s a loose paraphrase of Romans 8:28, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” So what’s the difference?
The first one seems to describe a random mystical semi-truism and the second one describes the effects of a relationship with God. The first one seems to describe something almost superstitious and the second something supernatural. How do we live in this supernatural relationship?
