"Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain."
-1 Corinthians 15:58
Relationships are a process. They require certain elements of time, effort, and intentionality to pull off effectively. But, like any good habit—regular exercise, good posture, even brushing our teeth—it takes practice and discipline that we often lack. Okay, so when I say “we” I really pretty much mean “me”. If I’m honest, the most important habits to have are the hardest to maintain. However, no matter how boring or tedious brushing my teeth becomes, I keep doing it because I know how necessary it is.
Our relationship with God requires the same thing—certain habitual behaviors that we need to pursue intentionally to make sure our connection with God is always at its peak. This Sunday, we’ll explore what these behaviors are as we look at building wise H.A.B.I.T.S.—the six things we need to do as regularly as teeth brushing to make sure we’re always in touch with our heavenly Dad.
